Bubblegum Analytics Dashboard
The Bubblegum Analytics Dashboard helps you track how AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others are contributing to traffic, conversions, and revenue on your site.
This guide walks you through each section of the dashboard, what the metrics mean, and how to use them to optimize your AI performance.
Where to Find the Dashboard
You can access the Analytics Dashboard by clicking Analytics in the left-hand navigation panel of your Bubblegum account.

Overview
The dashboard is organized into four main sections:
Each chart section includes both a visual trendline and a detailed platform breakdown to help you analyze not just how performance is trending, but which platform is driving it.
These breakdowns are particularly useful for understanding which AI platforms are contributing real value, and where your AI efforts are gaining traction.

1. Summary Metrics
At the top of the dashboard, you’ll see five high-level performance indicators. These automatically compare the current date range to the previous period.

Each tile also displays the percent change from the previous period:
Green = Increase
Red = Decrease
In this example, AI sessions are up 11.6%, while orders and revenue have declined slightly—helpful context for where to dig in further.
2. AI Sessions Over Time
This line chart shows the volume of AI-sourced sessions per day. It helps you visualize growth trends and traffic spikes that may align with newly published content or campaigns.

3. Revenue from AI Traffic Over Time
This chart shows how much revenue is being generated from AI traffic each day. Track how much revenue those visits generated, and when spikes occurred.
It’s useful for identifying the days when AI-driven content performed best in terms of sales.

4. Orders from AI Traffic Over Time
This chart displays how many purchase events occurred per day from AI-driven traffic. It complements the sessions and revenue charts to give a full picture of conversion activity.

How It Works
Bubblegum uses your connected Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property to pull data using the GA4 Data API. The system filters for known AI platforms and computes key metrics.
Platforms Tracked
We identify AI sessions using the sessionSource dimension in GA4. Current platforms include:
chatgpt.com
perplexity.ai
gemini.google.com
claude.ai
grok.x.ai
Metrics like Conversion Rate and AOV are calculated using GA4’s purchase event data:
Conversion Rate = Orders / Sessions
Average Order Value = Revenue / Orders
GA4 Setup Requirements
To ensure your dashboard works correctly, your GA4 property should meet the following:
Purchaseevents must be set up with a value parameter (revenue) and currency.GA4 must capture
sessionSourcevalues for AI tools.You must connect your GA4 property to Bubblegum during onboarding.
The GA4 Data API should be enabled and linked to a service account.

Optimization Tips
The more Markdown pages you publish, the more content AI platforms can crawl and recommend.
Use the dashboard to identify underperforming pages with high traffic but low conversion.
Prioritize content that performs well on your top-converting platforms (e.g., ChatGPT).
